The Doctor Who theme has no words. Reblog if you sing along anyways.
Ooo-WAH-OOOOoooo-OOOO-wah-oooooooo …
Fat people who love themselves scare the shit out of people who don’t love themselves. Even fat people who are TRYING to love themselves scare the shit out of people who can’t do the same. We force people to have to look at why they hate their bodies because we are “supposed” to hate ours and we don’t. And sometimes they have no idea what to do with that, so they act like assholes.
I just know that I was tired. I was tired of thinking less of myself because others did. People always ask me, ‘You have so much confidence. Where did that come from?’ It came from me. One day I decided that I was beautiful, and so I carried out my life as if I was a beautiful girl. I wear colors that I really like, I wear makeup that makes me feel pretty, and it really helps. It doesn’t have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see. Your body is your temple, it’s your home, and you must decorate it.
Well said!
here have some more
YES YES YES HELL TO THE YES
Oh goodness! There is too much awesomeness here!
this might seem pretty obvious, but it’s totally easy to make a single curtain pannel out of a twin flat sheet. since the edges are all finished for you the entire project consists of cutting a straight line and sewing a straight line - you can’t get much easier than that! SO here’s how to make a curtain pannel out of a flat sheet in 30 minutes (or less!)
materials
- one twin sized flat sheet
- scissors
- pins
- a chalk pencil (or a regular pencil)
- measuring tape
- sewing machine
steps
- fold your sheet in half length wise and lay it flat on the floor.
- measure the length you want your curtain to be and add 5ish inches for the rod pocket hem. my curtain was 52 inches so i measured 57 inches. also- measure from the side with the hem you like - i chose the thick hem which is usually the top of the sheet if you were going to put it on a bed. the already finished hem will be the bottom of your curtain. the part you are measuring to will be the top where the rod-pocket goes.
- mark your length and cut the sheet straight across. fold up extra fabric and save it for another project - maybe a cute skirt or a few throw pillows?
- unfold your sheet now and from the cut side fold your rod pocket hem. mine was 2.5 inches. if your curtain rod is thicker you’ll want a bigger pocket so add more inches to your starting length.
- pin straight across the width of your curtain making sure edges line up relatively nicely. i pin closer to the fold because i like to sew on the outside of the pins - you should do whatever is comfortable for you.
- using a basic straight stitch on your sewing machine sew straight across the curtain. you might want to back stitch each end to give it a bit of extra strength.
- remove all of the pins and check that it looks nice and everything (i used a contrasting thread color for fun!)
- finally - hang your new curtain! HOORAY!
p.s. - i’ve been playing around with writing on photos using bamboo for ipad. i’m trying to practice using it so it looks less lame in the future : )
This conversation happens all to often
- random: Mormons aren't Christian.
- Me: Uh, yeah, they are.
- random: No they're not! It's a whole different thing!
- Me: I think i'd know, i'm a Mormon.
- random: No! Mormons believe in other Gods! They don't even have Christ!
- Me: Nope...we believe in Christ. We're actually called "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints"...
